Technical Team Leader (Remortgage)

Due to rapid expansion within our Remortgage Team, we are now looking to recruit an experienced and capable team leader who will take up this new position to manage our Technical Remortgage team.

Our team of experienced Technical Remortgage Caseworkers manage instructions which include Transfers of Equity, Deeds of Postponement, Restrictions, Shared Ownership and Staircasing and other similar, technical work.

You will need to combine managing your own caseload of technical files, together with the day-to-day line management and supervision of the technical team.  As an experienced caseworker, you will also be expected to coach and support others, offering them technical advice and assistance as it is needed.

Skills and experience

You must have the technical experience and skills to be able to deal with each part of the remortgage process, in particular, the more challenging and technical aspects of this work.  

You must be a proven team leader or line manager, who is able to motivate and lead others. 

In addition, you must have meaningful experience of setting and monitoring individual and team targets based on KPI’s and be able to demonstrate success in generating better and/or more efficient production.

You should have experience in performance management processes such as undertaking probationary reviews and annual appraisals and ideally be used to recruiting others.

Excellent communication skills are key to this role. You must be able to create a strong rapport with all colleagues, providing coaching and mentoring support to your team members, as necessary.

A calm and methodical approach is essential.  You should be experienced in achieving monthly completion targets whilst maintaining a high quality standard of work.  You should be used to working to tight deadlines and of working within Service Level Agreements. 

Excellent organisational and IT skills are essential and previous experience of using a case management system is also important.

You must have a professional approach to work and enjoy a busy workload.  It is also important to demonstrate a strong commitment to client care and possess excellent communication skills.
