Sarah is a specialist employment lawyer, experienced in advising a variety of employers on all areas of employment and HR issues. Sarah has particular experience dealing with complex unfair dismissal and discrimination claims in the Employment Tribunals.
Sarah is an integral part of our specialist Employment team and advises employers operating in a wide range of sectors. Sarah has experience in dealing with high net worth shareholder disputes, defending claims valued in excess of £400,000 in the Employment Tribunal, and navigating the complexities of employment status and IR35 legislation.
When litigating Employment Tribunal claims, Sarah guides clients through the process, mindful always of the impact that litigation has on an employer’s business. Sarah takes the time to understand a client’s objectives from the outset, and uses a pragmatic approach to set a strategy and implement a robust defence, never losing sight of the objectives.
With her experience in employment litigation, Sarah is in a unique position to advise clients on a full spectrum of day-to-day employment matters, before any dispute arises. This can include managing performance or capability issues, creating working employment contracts and policies, or dealing with breaches of post-termination restraints. Sarah supports employers dealing with all manner of HR headaches, all whilst being mindful of a client’s core objectives and strategy.
Sarah joined Shulmans in 2014 and, after gaining a broad experience with our property teams, she became a specialist in our employment team in 2018.
