Our partners and solicitors are supported by a team of diligent, hard-working and talented paralegals, who are driven by the desire to do their very best for our clients. They can deal with the small print, yet always see the big picture.

The role of paralegal at Shulmans is varied and rewarding, yet also challenging. Hayley Milton and Joanna Oakes, two of our paralegals, give us a flavour of their role at our firm below.

Why work at Shulmans?

Shulmans is a progressive, award-winning UK 200 corporate law firm, with a turnover of above £12m and an enviable clients list.

But that’s not all… one of our three major goals is to make Shulmans a great place to work. In our firm, progression opportunities are transparent and colleagues are supported throughout their careers. We also offer our colleagues a wide range of very attractive benefits, as well as fantastic amenities at Wellington Place, in the new heart of the Leeds business district. We have a very active CSR group and colleagues can take part in the many social activities which are organised during the year.

From paralegal to trainee

Many of our paralegals have benefitted from their experience at Shulmans and went on to secure a training contract at our firm.  Maria Fert, who is now a qualified solicitor at Shulmans, recalls her journey from paralegal to trainee.
