Career Prospects
Our approach towards staff development is simple - we always try to promote from within.
There are many examples in the firm of colleagues who have progressed into very responsible and rewarding positions. Of course, promotion does not just happen on its own. Anyone who has gained promotion has demonstrated a high degree of competence and the aptitude and desire to take on a more demanding role.
Training and support are provided not only to make sure colleagues have the skills to fulfil their current roles but also to gain other qualifications which will help them in their work and their personal development
Lawyers and key managers are supported by a very clear
career structure which we call "Progression in Practice" but
we usually refer to it as PIP for short.
For lawyers, there are six stages on the PIP journey designed to take them from selection
as a Trainee Solicitor right through to Equity Partner. Qualified
lawyers can join us at any stage in the journey.
Key managers who are not solicitors may also benefit from a version of the PIP scheme designed specifically for their needs. They become eligble for the scheme on appointment to a key management position.
More information about PIP can be found here.
