Christine bows out in style

A 29 year legal working partnership at Shulmans has ended in style, with the retirement from her role of Christine Pugh, head of plot sales at Shulmans.

Jeremy Shulman first worked with Christine, pictured left, at a previous firm in Leeds for two years.  When he set up Shulmans solicitors nearly 27 years ago, she joined him as his first employee - not only as his secretary but also as the backbone of the new practice.  Christine has gone on to become head of one of the most respected plot sales teams in the country, with a team of 14 people.

From the start, Shulmans has had a reputation for encouraging employees to train and develop.  Christine Pugh started specialising in plot sales for the residential development team and qualified as a licensed conveyancer – the equivalent of a conveyancing solicitor. 

Jeremy Shulman said:  “When we started, I had to spend a lot of time out getting business and knew that Christine was ensuring clients were looked after.  She is absolutely reliable, the most wonderful trainer and very professional on her own case work.  She is greatly respected by colleagues and clients.”

Sbulmans' 150 strong team turned out in force to a party at Lens Bar in Leeds to celebrate Christine's career in style and present her with a laptop computer and printer as thanks from the firm.
