David deals with a range of corporate work from company formations to trade acquisitions, disposals, investment deals, management buy-ins and buy-outs. David also acts for various clearing banks in advising on facility letters and security.
As part of his corporate work, David advises clients who operate within the financial services sector on matters such as the operation of unregulated collective investment schemes, the application of the appointed representative regime and compliance with the financial promotions rules. David also works with clients seeking to conduct business within the financial services sector for the first time, assisting them to obtain authorisation from the Financial Services Authority (FSA).
Prior to joining Shulmans David worked as a financial services associate consultant advising clients authorised and regulated by the FSA on all aspect of their compliance arrangements.
