Yorkshire Lawyer Awards
In 2007, we were proud to win the Law Firm of the Year Award for firms with 1-30 partners at the Yorkshire Lawyer Awards.
This was followed with Shulmans real estate team winning the Real Estate award at the 2008 Yorkshire Lawyer Awards.
The firm beat off stiff competition from legal practices throughout the Yorkshire region for the 2007 Yorkshire Lawyer Firm of the Year award. The firm scored highly across all judging criteria to win and the panel of judges said that they were impressed by our reputation for delivering a quality, highly business-focused service to clients ranging from small businesses to plcs.
Our real estate team won its award in a year when it handled £2.3bn of secured lending for banks, £300m worth of plot sales for house builders and £185m of commercial property transactions and acted for a range of clients which included Evans Property Group, Barratt, Persimmon, Bellway, Crosby Lend Lease, St James Securities and Landmark. It was the first time that the Real Estate Award had been awarded to a team rather than to an individual and was a clear recognition of our strong team approach to providing our clients with a quality service.
